The Young Guts Scholars are either second- or third-year undergraduate college students from all over the U.S. The mentors are Gastroenterology faculty members throughout the U.S. as well. These students will spend a whole year in their mentor’s research program. This scholarship will therefore offer a much more robust experience than the more common summer student programs that will last for only ten weeks.

From a large group of well qualified applicants, six outstanding students were selected to the inaugural class of 2022. Enclosed is a brief synopsis of these bright Young Guts Scholars.

Funding for each student is $10,000 per year. Support in any amount from donors will be deeply appreciated. Please make the check payable to the Dr. Harvey Young Education and Development Foundation and mail it to the Menlo Park address. Thank you!
